DUSTFREE 100 is the new iVision vacuum cleaner designed for the surface treatment industry. It can be connected to a sanding machine and allows the suction of large amounts of fine dust.

The surface sanding process

The surface sanding process consists of the industrial treatment of floors. Specialized machinery is used to remove layers of different kinds of material from the floor surface. The surface sanding process is carried out for the removal of, for example: scratches, stains and surface imperfections, to create a smooth and uniform surface.

The nature of the vacuumed materials depends on the surface on which the sanding process is carried out. The latter, can be performed on a wide range of surfaces, including marble, granite, concrete, wood and other types of flooring. During the sanding process, an abrasive is used to remove the top layer of the floor surface.

Depending on the type of floor surface and the conditions under which the treatment is performed, different types of abrasives may be used, such as diamond or silicon carbide abrasive discs.  After the removal of the top layer, finer grit abrasives are used to create a smooth and uniform surface.

The floor sanding process requires specialized equipment, including the use of industrial vacuum cleaners, and trained employees to perform it safely and efficiently. When the floor sanding process is done correctly, it can help to extend the useful life of the floor, improve the aesthetic appearance, and reduce the risk of falls and injuries.

Dust to be vacuumed in the surface sanding process

The floor sanding process generates a large amount of fine dust that needs to be vacuumed for a better end result of the work and to protect the health of the operators. These dusts, in fact, are dangerous if inhaled as they can contain a large amount of both harmful chemicals, but also impurities related to surface exposure.

The use of industrial vacuum cleaners makes it possible to capture the dry and fine dust generated during the floor treatment process, right from the source and throughout the process. This helps to keep the work environment clean and safe, reducing the risk of inhalation.

The features od the DUSTFREE 100 industrial vacuum cleaner

The DUSTFREE 100 industrial vacuum cleaner from iVision Vacuum is designed to fully meet the vacuuming needs of industrial surface treatments.

Tangential inlet

The suction hose is connected to a sanding machine and fits into the vacuum cleaner through a tangential inlet. This formula allows dust not to come into direct contact with the filter, but to carry out a cyclonic movement around the structure and then fall downward.

Filter cartridge

In addition, the filter cartridge is equipped with an overflow, which is a wrap-around protection. Sucked-in dust is very packing and direct contact with the filter cartridge could facilitate its wear and tear in a short time, which is precisely why the filter of DUSTRFREE 100 is equipped with an additional protection.

Also for this reason, the vacuum cleaner is equipped with an additional filter cartridge cleaning system: a timed compressor. This is a system that emits pulses of compressed air at a constant time cadence, with the aim of cleaning the filter and preventing clogging.

LONGOPAC Collection System

The dust collection system is the LONGOPAC system, which is ideal for safer collection of fine dust. The bottom of the vacuum cleaner is a material release plate, when the vacuum cleaner is running the plate is closed and collects the dust that settles, when the vacuum cleaner is off the plate opens to release the vacuumed material inside the LONGOPAC.

Full sensor

The sanding process requires intensive use of the vacuum cleaner, even up to 12 consecutive hours, this is the reason why DUSTFREE is equipped with an additional system to prevent vacuum cleaner inefficiency. A full sensor has been installed on the DUSTFREE vacuum cleaner that automatically shuts down the vacuum cleaner when it has reached the maximum suction load. This system allows the automatic release, when the machine is turned off, of the dust collected inside the LONGOPAC and the subsequent cleaning of the filter cartridge. This preserves the vacuum cleaner’s components and ensures that it can always work at maximum efficiency.

Other components

Among other components, the DUSTFREE vacuum cleaner is arranged to be transported by means of forks, simply with a forklift, and is also included with an antistatic kit and on request cable reel hooks.
