At iVision Vacuum, we believe that an industrial extraction system is not merely a machine — it is an engineered response to a production challenge. Our strength lies in our ability to listen, analyse, and engineer solutions where off-the-shelf market standards fall short.
We invite you behind the scenes of our Technical Department to show you, step by step, how a complex requirement becomes a high-efficiency extraction system.
It All Begins with Listening (Preliminary Analysis)
For us, the first step is never the sale — it is understanding. Our commercial team does not limit itself to standard questions such as “what power output do you need?” Instead, it analyses the client’s entire production ecosystem through a targeted checklist:
- Material type: Are we dealing with explosive dusts (ATEX-classified areas), heavy swarf, oils, or hazardous substances?
- Machine interface: What is the configuration and layout of the machinery, enclosures, or working areas to which the extraction system must be connected?
- Layout and space constraints: What are the distances, available clearances, and ductwork routing options?
- Working volumes: How much material needs to be extracted, and at what frequency?
This phase is critical for identifying constraints from the outset — such as confined spaces or applicable safety regulations — and for laying the foundations of the project. Every solution is born from a thorough analysis of each client’s specific operational requirements.
The Technical Core: the Technical Feasibility Request
The information gathered is formalised in the Technical Feasibility Request. This is the project’s “identity document”, which passes from the commercial area to the Technical Department.
Internal dialogue: if any data is missing or the request presents a technical challenge, a direct exchange between our engineers and the client is initiated immediately. This prevents design errors and ensures that the system is technically viable before any commitment is made.
From Estimate to Executive Design
This is where the real work begins. Our team of mechanical and electronic engineers analyses the data to calculate static pressure, airflow rate, and the appropriate filtration technology.
Where results need to be guaranteed, we carry out an on-site technical survey. It is at this stage that two paths emerge:
- Standard System: the solution already exists within our product range, but accessories and connections are customised to suit the client’s requirements.
- Custom Solution: the true added value of iVision. Here, our full engineering expertise comes into play — we design structural modifications or entirely bespoke systems to meet unique operational constraints.
The Technical Department Speaks: a Problem-Solving Approach
We asked our Technical Team what happens when a seemingly impossible request comes in.
“There are cases where the client has a problem that nobody else has been able to solve — confined spaces, mixed hazardous materials, unusual process flows. We don’t stop. Because we have in-house expertise in fluid dynamics, mechanical engineering, and electronics, we design the solution from scratch: from the steelwork to the control software. We sell the solution, not just the product.”
Case Studies: when technology resolves the problem
Here are two real-world examples of how our methodology has transformed our clients’ productivity.
The Delpa Case: safety and material recovery (Sandblasting Sector)
The challenge:
The client operated a sandblasting booth where operators processed components using two very different abrasive media: a toxic glass powder and a red abrasive grit. The existing system provided no safety guarantees and offered no means of separating the two materials — resulting in waste and serious health risks.
The iVision solution:
No standard vacuum unit available on the market was able to meet this requirement. The iVision team designed a bespoke external tower structure incorporating:
✅ Cyclonic separation with a Y-valve: two automated dampers allow the operator to select which material is being extracted at any given time.
✅ Differentiated material recovery: reusable grit is directed into a dedicated hopper to be returned to the production cycle (generating direct cost savings), whilst the toxic dust is safely filtered and contained.
✅ Full safety compliance: the working environment is now entirely safe, enabling the client to operate continuous shift patterns without costly interruptions.
The Zingerle Metal Case: Industry 4.0 Efficiency (urban furniture sector)
The challenge:
The company needed to manage large volumes of swarf and fine dust generated by multiple CNC machining centres distributed across the production floor, whilst minimising downtime for routine maintenance and swarf handling.
The iVision solution:
We designed and installed a centralised intelligent extraction system featuring:
✅ Automated management: pneumatic valves that activate suction only where and when required.
✅ Predictive maintenance: clog-detection sensors that trigger automatic filter cleaning when needed, maintaining consistent performance throughout the shift.
✅ Smart Connected: remote supervision of the entire system for real-time efficiency monitoring.
✅ Advanced fill-level sensing: operators are alerted only when the collection container reaches capacity.
✅ Continuous discharge system.
Why should you choose iVision Vacuum Engineering?
Selecting a bespoke extraction system means you stop adapting your production to the vacuum unit — and start having a vacuum unit engineered around your production.
- Material recovery (circular economy and cost savings)
- Certified operator safety
- Vertical expertise (all know-how developed and retained in-house)
- Operational continuity (systems designed for multi-shift operation)
- Zero production downtime (design, testing, and installation carried out without interfering with your core activity)
The design and commissioning of an iVision Vacuum extraction system do not interfere in any way with your core production line. You can continue operating without interruption, focused on your business objectives — whilst we work to help you achieve them.
Do you have an extraction challenge that no one has yet been able to solve?
See what we can do. Your system could become our next success story.
